Where the program is hosted by a college, it is delivered under that institution's existing authority. The college enrolls the students, lists the program in its catalog, and issues the certificate. OKOYA provides the curriculum, the instruction and the review of student work, with an instructor-qualification file behind every course.
Recruitment is ours as well — the marketing, the social media, and the direct conversations with people considering the program.

Khyzen Canine's work centers on helping dogs regulate their emotions through species-typical behaviors, the same co-regulation principle this program teaches.
Students work with real people in real settings before they graduate, some near the college and some elsewhere in Colorado. The introduction to a county's school districts is the one thing a college can give that we cannot bring ourselves.
Recruitment
Filling the first cohort is our work, not only yours.
A college that hosts this program is not handed a catalog listing and left to fill it. We run the recruitment: the social media, the interviews, and the public conversation about what this profession is and why a school district would want one.
Prospective students talk to us directly. Omri meets them himself, on video and face to face, and answers the question they actually arrive with — whether this is a real profession they can make a living from. That is where a cohort gets filled.
The college markets to its own audience and owns the formal side: enrollment, student records, and the certificate.

The delivery
Taught online across the year, with weekly review of filmed student work. The dog work is done in person, in lab cohorts, at one of two Colorado sites.

Who is behind it
Founded by Omri Livny and Keren Livny.
Offek Center is a government-approved private professional college for animal trainers and animal-assisted intervention practitioners, founded by Omri Livny and Keren Livny. Its therapeutic dog-work program is built to the standard set by the Israeli Therapeutic Dog Work Association, a national professional body that prescribes required subject areas and minimum hours, and exceeds that standard in every block. Offek delivers the program in partnership with Beit Berl College, alongside its education degrees.
Omri Livny
- Wingate Institute, Israel's national institute for sport — Head of Field, Animal-Assisted Intervention; program designer and lead instructor, c. 2008 to 2015.
- Offek Center — founder, program designer and lead instructor, 2015 to present.
- 360, Therapeutic Riding and Therapeutic Canine Work — Managing Director since 2022; a multi-modal therapeutic center serving 3,000+ patients under his leadership.
- Six years on the Israel Equestrian Federation's national Instruction Committee, which writes instructor-training standards submitted to Israel's Ministry of Culture and Sport.
- Thirty-five years working with horses and dogs. A certified mathematics teacher by first training.
